Due to rapid expansion, Electrical Tech Skills is currently seeking a qualified instructor to provide our Electrical Maintenance Fundamentals course to our clients located in Cleveland, Ohio.
Our instructors provide base-level instruction to industrial maintenance technicians who need to improve or develop basic electrical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
Job Description
Teach the Following Concepts and practices:
- Electrical theories such as Ohm’s and Kirchoff’s laws.
- Codes and standards such as the National Electric Code and NFPA 70E The Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
- Relay and motor control theory applications.
- Transformer theory and applications
- Ladder diagram and other applicable electrical diagrams, prints, and schematics.
- Provide hands-on instruction using industry required tools and equipment.
- Variable frequency drive theory and applications.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to improve their skills.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in electrical codes and regulations.
- Plans and organizes instruction in ways which maximize student learning. Practice excellence in teaching and instruction.
- Modifies instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse students’ needs.
- Prepare lesson plans and teach course as prescribed by the approved ETS curriculum.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Level Industrial Maintenance Electrician / Technician (Required)
- Must live in or near Cleveland, Ohio
- Must be autonomous and independent — enjoys working with little direction.
- People-oriented — enjoys interacting and teaching people.
- Dependable — must be reliable.
- Military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.

Benefits

- Hourly pay is based on experience.
- Work schedule is part time generally our instructors work a 32-hour week once monthly.
